A unified position regarding the cryptocurrency has not yet been worked out in the country. So, in the annual budget speech, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government does not consider cryptocurrency as the legal means of payment. At the same time, partner of the consulting company EY India, Kartik Shinde, said: “Investments in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will become available to end users, due to the government takes active measures to regulate the digital market.”
