The launch of a mobile payment application based on xCurrent technology from Ripple was announced by the largest financial and credit group in Spain Banco Santander. The application is integrated into Apple Pay’s mobile payment system allowing transactions ranging in size from $ 14 to $ 14,000. Authentication security is provided by the Touch ID technology. The app will be available for residents of Spain, Brazil, UK, and Poland. The project is based on xCurrent technology, which does not provide for the use of XRP cryptocurrency.
