There is no ban on the use of cryptocurrency in Indonesia, but there is a government warning. The Bank of Indonesia is concerned about the potential role of the crypto currency in money laundering and terrorist financing, suggesting that citizens should refuse using the crypto currency. A plenipotentiary representative of the Bank of Indonesia Agusman Zainal declares – “Cryptocurrency is not a legal means of exchange, we recall its risks. When risks arise, losses will be borne by the public. We must protect consumers and protect them from the bubble”.
