Almost six ($5.93 billion) billion dollars have been gathered by the startups for 2017 through the primary offering the coins-ICO. Last year, about nine ICOs (889-for graphics) was held, according to the statistics of the site ICOData. This is for one year in twenty-five times more projects than in the previous three years together. The three leaders in terms of the money amount gathered last year are EOS projects ($ 883.4 million), Filecoin ($ 257 million), and Tezos ($ 232 million). The initial placement of ICO coins is a more democratic analogue of the initial public shares offering in the cryptocurrency market. During ICO, the company places not shares but tokens which in future are treated in the same way as crypto-currencies, and unlike shares does not give the investor the right have an interest in a company.
