BAVARIA SOLD CONFISCATED BITCOINS AND ALTCOINS FOR € 12 MILLION

Twelve million euros were raised by the authorities of Bavaria from the sale of the confiscated cryptocurrency. In total, over one thousand three hundred bitcoins (1312) and the same amount of Bitcoin Gold (1312), almost one thousand four hundred Bitcoin Cash (1399) and 220 Ethereums were sold. The arrested seller of pirated electronic and audiobooks transferred his profit to the cryptocurrency. More than thirty thousand portal users have access to books at a price lower than the market price. The detainee has not yet been found guilty, but the altcoins have been seized and sold – under the law of Bavaria, perishable or high-volatility goods which are losing much in value over time can be sold at auction.
