The Stock Exchange of Thailand is launching a crowdfunding platform so that local blockchain startups have access to financing. The platform uses blockchain for P2P trading. Thus, firms will be able to attract investment capital, in particular from institutional players and venture funds. The project was prepared during the year. Since the Thai authorities legislatively imposed two kinds of taxes on cryptocurrency transactions, having approved the document in the Ministry of Finance in April 2018. The new law provides for all possible risks of the cryptocurrency market. Eight companies have already entered the newly created platform and another fifty announced their withdrawal in the near future.
